Table of High-End Consumer Receivers
Pictures - Coming Soon (hopefully)
The Premium-RX List is an e-mail reflector that serves those who are using premium, commercial HF receivers. Working with a set of guidelines and limited to members only, the goal of this list is to establish a reliable e-mail list that allows for the exchange of quality technical information regarding premium receivers.
Material content may include but not limited to:
Members are invited to post and react to information that appears on the list, however, credit should be given the poster in the same spirit as an SWBC logging.
Many of our present members were invited to join this list based on their interest in and/or ownership of a "Premium-RX" receiver. Since then we have defined what is to be considered a Premium-RX. There is a likelihood that some present members of the list may not have a receiver that meets the committee's NEW Premium-RX definition. With concern for these individuals, the committee feels, without exception, that all members as of March 1, 1999 will be considered charter participants and thus remain on the list irrespective of their ownership of a Premium-RX.
Future individuals requesting membership/participation in the list will have to own a Premium-RX as defined on our web page. The list of premium receivers on the web page is by no means exhaustive, and anyone possesing a receiver which qualifies under one of the following classifications can ask to have it added to the list on the web page and hence obtain membership.
The Premium-RX web page will contain a list of receivers in each of two classifications:
Any members of the list may nominate/sponsor a receiver for either of the above two categories. The member making the nomination will have the responsibility of working with the webmaster to generate the web pages (pictures, specs, technical review, etc.) for the specific receiver in question. Receivers not sponsored will be dropped from the web page due to limited interest.
The above is not in stone and is still open to discussion. My thanks to all those who participated and offered suggestions while the nomination committee was in session.

As previously announced, please note that the maximum file size for posting to the list is now 0.5 MB. Adopted standards for the List are:
Membership is moderated and will require operation-ownership of a premium receiver, off topic discussion will be limited, and commercialism in any form will be prohibited. We hope the Premium-RX List will become a forum for the exchange of ideas to include: performance, alignment, operating techniques, antennas, external DSP filters, sync detectors, discussion of targets, listening techniques, propagation, and so on..
